Expodium is a collective that continuously searches for a sustainable, innovative and human approach for the challenges that cities are confronted with as a result of ever ongoing urban processes.
Through a variety of methods of artistic research, Expodium generates vital information about urban areas and at the same time activates those areas and their users. We are the antenna on a grass-root level; we signal current problems, reformulate them in order to get to the core of the problem and subsequently respond to them by developing innovative ideas and stimulating and activating the involved parties.
Through out-of-the-box thinking, Expodium is able to offer new experiences and insights in existing problematics. For this purpose we use our extensive international network of artists, creative professionals, architects, planners, sociologists etc.
Expodium creates a situation that stimulates and inspires organisations, housing corporations, developers and governmental institutes to move outside of the usual protocols and to approach urban problematics from different perspectives.
The information and knowledge generated in Expodium’s activities is constantly documented, archived, contextualised and published.
Additionally, we use our methods for artistic research for advisory trajectories to break through rooted thought patterns and to counsel organisations in renewing their mode of practice and organisational structure.
